Steve Adehi is a distinguished Nigerian legal practitioner with over 38 years of experience in corporate and commercial law, banking transactions, litigation, and arbitration. He obtained his LL.B from University of Jos in 1986, attended the Nigerian Law School, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in October 1987. He is the Founder and Principal Partner of Steve Adehi SAN & Co., a law firm established in 1988 with offices in Kano and Abuja. A respected advocate, he has represented clients before trial and appellate courts across Nigeria and participated extensively in arbitration proceedings. In recognition of his excellence in advocacy, he was elevated to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2018. Sir Steve holds Master’s degrees in International Affairs and Diplomacy from Ahmadu Bello University and in Business and Commercial Law from Bayero University Kano. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a Notary Public, a registered Capital Market Solicitor, and a member of the Body of Benchers. An active member of both the Nigerian and international legal communities, he has served in numerous leadership positions within the Nigerian Bar Association, including Chairman of the NBA Kano Disciplinary Committee, Member of the National Executive Council, Caretaker Chairman of SPIDEL, and Pioneer Chairman of the NBA Employment Bureau. Beyond law, Sir Steve is widely recognized for his humanitarian service, promotion of interfaith dialogue, and commitment to good governance. He has received papal honours from both Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis, culminating in his elevation as Knight Commander of St. Pope Sylvester in 2022. He has also served as National President of the Association of Papal Knights and Medalists in Nigeria and held the offices of Supreme Advocate and Supreme Knight of the Knights of St. Mulumba Nigeria. He is married to Dr. Mary Adehi and they are blessed with four children.
